A huge thank you to B&Q Foundation for their recent generous grant of £5,000, awarded to Sullivan’s Heroes towards some of the families’ home adaptation projects being supported by the charity.
This grant will be instrumental in reaching the targets of various of the families raising funds through Sullivan’s Heroes – to meet the shortfall that exists for the children’s home disability adaptation projects to be completed.
Wheelchair access has been created to the new bedroom and wetroom in ‘Ahmed's Big Build’
These funds are vital in enabling projects such as house extensions to accommodate accessible bedrooms and wet rooms; including ceiling hoists, wheelchair lifts, internal wheelchair accessible living facilities together with internal and external wheelchair ramps and access points – meeting the children’s requirements to live safely and with dignity, and improving their quality of life within their home environment.
