Heights and highlights

We’re delighted to introduce many new applicants now being supported by the charity, taking our total to date to 42 children.
Libby and Dylan have both got off to flying starts to reach their adaptations targets, to create new bedroom and bathroom spaces to meet their needs.

Other children and their families have also been busy raising adaptation funds. Jessica’s family raised over £6,000 with a sponsored Muddy Mayhem run by ‘Jess’ Joggernauts’ and are looking forward to their forthcoming Family Disco to raise further funds for a 'Room for Jessica'.

Meanwhile, Jakey’s 2019 Calendar – beautifully designed by the seven year old himself – has been raising monies along with a royal seal of approval!

Our intrepid adventurers have been busy also raising funds for us. Lee Buller conquered the lofty heights of Mount Kilimanjaro, raising a mountainous amount along the way; whilst Rob Clifford took on the mighty United States Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C., with its gruelling time constraints, and wearing full military kit with weight!

Great fun was had by all at ‘An Evening with Glenn Miller and Friends’ performed by The ConChord Big Band, and kindly hosted and organised by Mid Sussex District Council. The band not only raised the roof, but also a fantastic amount of money for the charity.

We were delighted to be supported by John Lewis’ Community Matters programme in their Tunbridge Wells store from August to October. And now, their support for Sullivan’s Heroes continues in their Chichester store, from now through to January 2019. If you’re shopping there you can help us to raise funds for disabled children’s home adaptations, by popping your token in the Sullivan’s Heroes box.

Gearing up for Christmas, our ever-popular Jewellery and Gifts are on sale at events in Dormansland and Lingfield for that bargain gift shopping! Plus, if you’re shopping online you can support Sullivan’s Heroes through Easyfundraising; and AmazonSmile.

And if you’re thinking ahead to those Christmas Cards… here’s a little idea to 'Give more than cards this Christmas', by sending them online through Sullivan’s Heroes.

Please do get in touch if you have any fundraising events, activities and ideas you’d like to share with us; or if you would like to apply for a grant or to fundraise through Sullivan’s Heroes.

Thank you for your ongoing support, it is greatly appreciated.
