The ConChord Big Band evening is a resounding success

We’re delighted to report that ‘An Evening with Glenn Miller and Friends’ performed by The ConChord Big Band last Sunday, was not only a Sell-Out performance and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended – but also raised a fantastic £3,300 for Sullivan’s Heroes.

The excellent 17-piece Orchestra and vocalists performed as the wartime US Army Air Force Band, playing the unforgettable music and songs of the big band era that inspired a generation and boosted morale during World War II.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mid Sussex District Council and Chairman Councillor Bruce Forbes and his team, who hosted and arranged the event on behalf of Sullivan’s Heroes, to fund grants for disabled children’s home adaptations.

Thank you also to everyone that made the evening so enjoyable and successful – the generous donors of the fantastic Raffle prizes on offer, kindly given by Waitrose Haywards Heath, Hall and Woodhouse, Marks and Spencer, The Entertainer, The Crown Turners Hill and The Orchards Shopping Centre; the ConChord Band and singers who so elegantly entertained the audience; and to all those who attended the event and supported Sullivan’s Heroes so generously.
