Autumn yields new projects

As we enter the autumn months we are busy here at Sullivan’s Heroes with new applicants for support – now amounting to sixty-three children who we’ve helped with grants and assistance, as a result of your generous support.

One of these children is 9-year old Caleb – who’s family are raising the additional £15,000 required to create a bedroom, wet room and wheelchair accessible living space on the ground floor as part of Caleb’s Home Adaptations. Meanwhile, Gracie’s Journey to Independence is beginning by funding the additional £10,000 needed to build a downstairs bedroom, bathroom and enclosed
garden for the 4-year-old.

We’re excited to have received support from various sources over the summer months. The £60,000 required to build A Space 4 Jakey is near the target now with the generous support of Sussex Masonic Charitable Foundation. Meanwhile St James’s Place Charitable Foundation kindly donated funds towards ongoing grants for the children being supported.

We are most grateful also to Independence at Home, who have generously provided funds to both Gracie and Team William, and to Board24 who have shared details of their recent support and Match Funding for Team William.

Summer events have seen funds roll in for the charity too, we’re delighted to report. The Dormansland Horse and Dog Show kindly supported Sullivan’s Heroes as one of their chosen charities, whilst Turners Hill Park residents generously raised funds at their Summer BBQ and Fun Day. And it’s not over yet… Team Broderick are bravely donning their wetsuits this weekend to take part in heroic Hever Castle Challenges to raise funds for us!

Please do get in touch if you have any fundraising events, activities and ideas you’d like to share with us; or if you would like to apply for a grant or to fundraise through Sullivan’s Heroes.

Thank you for your ongoing support, it is greatly appreciated.
