The Rigby Family Charitable Trust supports ‘Building Thomas a Future in Bromley Cross’

All at Sullivan’s Heroes, together with Thomas and his family, are delighted to have received generous support recently towards ‘Building Thomas a Future in Bromley Cross’ – with an amazing £20,000 donation from The Rigby Family Charitable Trust.

Thomas’ project has required £95,000 to be raised to meet the total costs above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded – to provide 9-year-old Thomas with his own accessible ground floor bedroom and wet room, so he can continue to be cared for safely and with dignity in his own home.

The project is now well underway with the new spaces taking shape almost daily, and this kind donation will bring completion point of the building works ever closer.

Our thanks to everyone involved in this support, which will enable Thomas’ independence as he grows, and will bring about a positive and lasting difference to Thomas’ life and well-being.

“Tom has a pair of superheroes and their names are Zoe and John Rigby. Zoe and John came to see us in March when the spiralling cost of groundworks threatened to stop Tom's adaptations in their tracks and we were depressed beyond belief. They looked at our plans, walked in the mud and listened to our story and then they made the incredible pledge to donate £20,000 to Tom’s fundraiser to allow us to continue. It saved our lives." Thomas' Dad

"Thomas is the first big benefactor of their newly set up charitable trust, and this money will allow us to fit out Thomas's living space once the tanking is complete in the autumn. Myself, Joanne and Thomas simply cannot thank Zoe and John enough for this huge selfless act of generosity which is the biggest single donation in our 2 and a half years of fundraising. Simply incredible. Thank you.” Thomas' Dad
