Our sincere thanks to HCAG – the Handicapped Children’s Action Group – for their funds recently provided towards ‘Myk's accessible home project’.

The £4,250 generously donated will go a long way towards the £15,000 shortfall above the Disabled Facilities Grant funding awarded to create a ground floor bedroom and bathroom, plus wheelchair access into and around the ground floor of the house to meet Myk’s requirements.

Increased lounge space with ceiling hoists installed will also aid Myk’s physiotherapy and mobility needs and enable him to access different parts of his home.

This specific donation will be used towards a specialist bath for Myk, enabling regular baths to relax his muscles and to help with pain relief – making a huge difference to Myk’s life and well-being.
