A big thank you to Independence at Home for their recent generous £500 grant towards ‘Myk’s accessible home’.

These funds will be used towards the £15,000 shortfall above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded for 7-year-old Myk’s project – to create a ground floor bedroom and bathroom including specialist bath, plus wheelchair access into and around the ground floor of the house to meet Myk’s requirements.

Increased lounge space will also be created, complete with ceiling hoists to aid Myk’s physiotherapy and mobility needs, enabling him to access different parts of his home – bringing about life-changing differences for Myk and his family.
