Our sincere gratitude to Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust for their recent generous donation of £1,999 towards ‘Ahmed’s Big Build’.

These funds kindly donated will be used towards the project to create a ground floor bedroom for Ahmed with a Posturepedic bed in his new bedroom to meet his requirements.

A wheelchair accessible bathroom, additional living space, together with safe garden access will also be created to meet Ahmed’s needs as he gets older. A Disabled Facilities Grant and discretionary funding has been accessed through the council, but costs of the works leave a shortfall of £30,000 to meet the project costs.

The project will enable Ahmed’s daily care and medical needs to be met in a more manageable way, so he can continue to be cared for safely and with dignity in his own home, and fully participate in all aspects of his family life.
