Our sincere thanks to ExxonMobil and their employees, who’s recent fundraising added £2,000 to the fund to create ‘Stewart's Forever Home’.
The maintenance team and contractors at the plant in Mossmorran, Fife, recently completed a safety initiative and were invited to nominate a charity for the funds they had raised – with the funds generously donated through Sullivan’s Heroes to support local Fife resident Stewart.
Stewart’s project has seen the family busy fundraising the £72,500 shortfall needed to meet the costs above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded to extend and restructure the family home to provide an accessible ground floor bedroom and bathroom for Stewart, together with equipment and hoisting throughout; whilst also creating level access throughout the ground floor, with accessible living space and external access for Stewart.
Stewart's family are delighted that the full funds have now been met to successfully undertake these adaptation works, to make the life-changing enhancements to Stewart’s home to meet his needs for the future.
