We are delighted to see ‘Mylo’s new downstairs bedroom’ adaptations project featured recently in Stirling Observer and Daily Record newspapers.

Mylo’s family have been busy raising funds towards the £40,000 required above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded for the project, to provide a downstairs bedroom and wet room extension for safe living space for Mylo.

The fundraising has now reached an impressive 20% of the target – but there’s still a way to go to meet the full costs of the adaptations project.

As Mylo’s parents explain: 

“We have a son who has a disability who requires downstairs living to give him the best possible life and independence that any child should have and now for his needs to be met we have to have £40k to make that possible. We as a family are now in a position where our son’s needs can no longer be met unless we put ourselves under extreme financial stress.”

Cara added that the fight to do this is taking its toll on the family. She said:

“This is having a detrimental effect not only on our mental health but also physically. We are so proud of Mylo and all he has achieved to date. He is our own little warrior, we just want to give him what he needs and deserves.”
