We've reached the 20's!

We are pleased to report that Sullivan’s Heroes has been busy over the summer months with new applicants and fundraising events. Many building projects are now in progress, and the charity is delighted to now be supporting 21 children with their home adaptations projects.

The most recent of these children is Elisha, who’s family is fundraising towards a fully adapted bedroom with wetroom and through floor lift to meet Elisha’s needs.

Fundraising events over the summer have continued to raise money through our popular Jewellery and Gifts Sales. Thank you to everyone who supported us at the Turners Hill Village Fete and Dormansland Horse & Dog Show. Look out for further dates on our Events and Facebook page, or get in touch with us.

IMG_4752medWe are delighted to report that Mid Sussex District Council’s Chairman, Councillor Bruce Forbes, has chosen Sullivan’s Heroes as his charity for the year, so we are excited about the support that this will bring to the charity.

Our thanks also to all those who have participated in events over the past months raising funds for the individual children we are supporting – together with Anne & John Mulvey for their recent 100 mile cycle ride and Pippa Hannard, who is busy in training for her forthcoming marathon challenge, generously raising funds for Sullivan’s Heroes.

JLmWe are excited too that John Lewis’ Community Matters programme are supporting Sullivan’s Heroes in their Horsham store, from 1st August to 31st October 2017. If you’re shopping there you can help us to raise funds for disabled children’s home adaptations, by popping your token in the Sullivan’s Heroes box.

Please do get in touch if you have any fundraising events, activities and ideas you’d like to share with us; or if you would like to apply for a grant or to fundraise through Sullivan’s Heroes.

Thank you for your ongoing support, it is greatly appreciated.
