Our sincere thanks to Shadow Blinds for their recent donation and fitting of blinds in ‘Keira’s BIG Build’.

These generously donated items have greatly reduced the amount needed to be raised towards the £65,000 shortfall above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded, to meet the costs for Keira’s adaptations project.

As Keira grows older it is getting harder to get up and down the stairs whilst carrying her, aside from the dangers involved in carrying a 14-year-old. Having her own space downstairs will greatly benefit all the family and a new personal space for Keira will bring so many positive changes for the teenager. 

The adaptations, which are now well underway, will provide a new ground floor bedroom, wetroom and improved living space to secure independent living for Keira once she reaches adulthood. A space will also be created where carers supporting Keira's needs will have all the necessary essentials to meet her care requirements.
