Rotary Club of Dunfermline support ‘Keira’s BIG Build’

Our sincere thanks to the Rotary Club of Dunfermline for their recent £250 donation towards ‘Keira’s BIG Build’.

The funds will be used towards meeting the £65,000 shortfall needed to meet the costs above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded for Keira’s adaptations project.

As Keira grows older it is getting harder to get up and down the stairs whilst carrying her, aside from the dangers involved in carrying a recently turned 14-year-old. Having her own space downstairs will greatly benefit all the family and a new personal space for Keira will bring so many positive changes for the teenager.

The adaptations, which have recently got underway, will provide a new ground floor bedroom, wetroom and improved living space to secure independent living for Keira once she reaches adulthood, together with a place where carers supporting Keira's needs will have all the necessary essentials to meet her care requirements.

Our thanks to everyone involved in donating these vital funds towards Keira’s new space – which are greatly appreciated and will make a lasting and positive difference to Keira’s life.
