Sensory safe space

Nevaeh Fackrell
Wookey Wells
We are planning to create a secure and supportive downstairs environment for Nevaeh, a non-verbal, severely autistic child with sensory processing disorder. Due to her limited cognitive functioning and lack of danger awareness, it is essential to eliminate all risks to ensure her safety and well-being.

The proposed build will include a downstairs bedroom, a sensory-safe space, and a wet room with changing facilities. This design will provide adequate space to facilitate Nevaeh’s toilet training and support her development of self-care skills.
Nevaeh is an 11 year old cheeky girl with a wicked sense of humour and a smile that melts your heart.

Nevaeh was diagnosed with severe Autism and sensory processing disorder at 2 years old.

Nevaeh can brighten a room and she gives the best hugs if your lucky enough to receive one.
