Mason’s home adaption aid

Mason Dynes
Co Armagh, Northern Ireland
We are looking to provide a bedroom and bathroom downstairs due to mobility for Mason with hoist support to enable us to have room and mobility around the house as he is currently nursed downstairs with no room for his medical equipment to include oxygen cylinders, saturation monitors, LSU suctioning machines, hospital/profiling bed and special needs chairs to name a few. Mason is unable to share a room with his brother and requires his own space due to the nursing care support he receives as ourselves as parents care for Mason every night within the same room to meet his needs which constantly vary.

This money will be used to help adapt the house for Mason's needs so he has the space to be looked after by both his family and the nursing team that are involved within his everyday life. Mason is the strongest person we know and we are looking to give him the best of life we can offer. His smile is infectious, his laugh is hardy and his love is everlasting.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story on the bravest boy we know that keeps on Charging.

Sullivan’s Heroes is a charity offering support and financial assistance for families raising essential funds for vital home adaptations for a disabled child, to continue to care for their child at home, safely and with dignity.
Mason is 5 years old. He has been diagnosed with Charge Syndrome from birth which involves various health concerns in everyday life which are life threatening. These health concerns consist of respiratory, cardiac, metabolic and endocrine to name a few. Mason is immobile and needs 24 hour care to make sure he is receiving the support required to enjoy life. Mason's life is a fight everyday and requires a multitude of medical equipment to support his lifestyle and keep him fighting fit.
Who - Mason Dynes grant aid extension to allow provision of nursing care. What - disability grant to adopt our house and allow a better quality of life for Mason. Why - We have a grant aid but we are unable to meet the remaining costs to complete this build. Timescale - We would like to complete this project as soon as possible to aid in a better way of life for Mason with the installation of hoists etc.
