Our thanks to Lostock Hall Community Primary School for their recent donation of £512.14 to ‘Team William’.

The school community have been busy fundraising towards creating William’s new bedroom and bathroom to meet his needs as he grows older.

The funds will be used to meet the £40,000 target required to build an extension on William’s home to accommodate his needs so he can continue to be cared for at home, safely and with dignity.

The adaptations will provide William with a wheelchair accessible bedroom and wetroom, with a ceiling mounted hoist, which will adjoin the main living area so he can easily be included in all aspects of family life.

The project will also create ramped external access for William, as well as wheelchair friendly access into and around all the rooms he needs to use.

Moving William’s wheelchair and other equipment in and around the house is currently difficult in most areas and impossible in others, so William is very excited about the prospect of being able to get around all of his home.
