Jaden's enjoying his new space

We’re as delighted as Jaden and his family to bring news of the completed extension to house 10-year-old Jaden’s accessible bedroom and bathroom.

The project required the family to raise £10,000 needed above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded for the project, to put vital adaptations in place for Jaden’s future, including level access thresholds throughout the home, a level access shower plus rear garden access.

Jaden’s Mum explains the need for the works:

“Before the adaptations were put in place, climbing the stairs was becoming increasing difficult and dangerous”.

Jaden’s Mum adds of the new space:

“Being on the ground floor, it will enable Jaden to be safe and as independent as possible.”

Having found Sullivan’s Heroes through a Facebook support group, Jaden’s parents give an insight into the support the charity was able to offer them:

“The contribution helped towards the additional funds we had to find towards the project”.

Of the charity’s support ongoing for other families, Jaden’s parents state:

“Any contribution and support will benefit other families”.

Jaden’s parents conclude that the project has made:

“A massive and positive difference to us all. Thank you so much!”
