Independence at Home support ‘Olive’s accessible house’

Our sincere thanks to Independence at Home for their recent generous £500 grant towards ‘Olive’s accessible house’.

These funds will be used to meet the £40,000 shortfall above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded for Olive’s project, to extend and adapt the family home – adding a side extension with accessible bedroom and specialist adapted wetroom for the 5-year-old; plus installing a through-floor lift, creating wheelchair accessible living spaces downstairs and external access to the front and rear of the property.

This specific funding has been utilised towards recently installed sliding pocket doors and accessible sinks for Olive’s use and to aid her mobility in and around the home.

Our thanks to all at Independence at Home for this grant which will make a positive and lasting difference to Olive’s life and well-being.
