Our thanks to Independence at Home, who’s £600 grant towards the external platform lift being installed as part of ‘Amara’s forever home’ project will ensure safe access into her home for 8-year-old Amara.
The works will also create a downstairs bedroom and wetroom, for which Disabled Facilities Grant funding has been awarded, leaving a shortfall of £5,000 required to meet the project costs.
Works are well underway with the ground preparations for the external lift – so Amara and her family are looking forward to testing out the new lift facilities once installed!
