Our thanks to The Hospital Saturday Fund for their recent generous £1,000 grant towards ‘Oliver’s forever home’.
These funds will be used as part of the project to create a loft conversion, install a through-floor lift, wet room and hi-lo bath, adapt the kitchen, together with building ramped wheelchair access to the garden to give Oliver more independent living.
A Disabled Facilities Grant and discretionary top-up funding has been accessed through the council, but costs of the works leave a shortfall of £20,000 to meet the project costs, so these funds are gratefully received towards this target.
“All this will give Oliver the dignity and independence he so deserves. Making our home more accessible for Oliver to have a much better quality of life and independence is our mission.”
