End of the year, and an end of Libby's project!

We have lots to tell you this month! The charity has been busy with new applicants over the past few weeks and we’re delighted to report we are now supporting 25 children with home adaptation grants and their family’s fundraising towards the works. The two most recent of these are Jakey and Ibraheem who’s families are busy fundraising for the new spaces required.

DSC_4583smWe are also very excited to bring you the news of the first finished project – ‘Libby’s Lift’ and adaptations are now fully installed and completed. Libby’s new bedroom and bathroom extension have created a fantastic safe space for Libby’s future, and Libby and her family are delighted. We think you’ll agree that the new space you can view here looks amazing!

LotusWe have been very fortunate with recent support and funds raised from various sources including John Lewis’ Community Matters programme; Dormansland Horse & Dog Show; Dormansland Carnival; Sporting Bears Motor Club; St. John’s Dormansland and Mid Sussex District Council – together with the arduous challenges undertaken by Anne & John Mulvey with their 100 mile cycle ride, and Pippa Hannard, who not only completed the Dublin Marathon in record time, but has now been PippaDublin291017_400x272selected to run the London Marathon 2018 for Sullivan’s Heroes, which we are very excited about!

GiftsWe are extremely grateful to all involved with this support, and also to supporters at our recent Jewellery & Gifts Sales at various venues.

And if you haven’t got round to those Christmas cards yet … here’s a little idea to save the writing, and send them online through Sullivan’s Heroes.

Please do get in touch if you have any fundraising events, activities and ideas you’d like to share with us; or if you would like to apply for a grant or to fundraise through Sullivan’s Heroes.

Thank you for your ongoing support, it is greatly appreciated.
