Banbury Guardian feature ‘William and his great glass elevator’ Project and Arc50 Ultra Marathon

We are delighted to see ‘William and his great glass elevator' project being featured recently in Banbury Guardian.

5-year-old William requires a new bedroom and bathroom where he can have his complex needs managed safely, including a through-floor lift to access his new space. His family are busy fundraising for the £20,000 required above the Disabled Facilities Grant which William has been awarded for these vital home adaptations.

As part of this fundraising William’s Dad Gareth will bravely undertake the gruelling Arc50 Ultramarathon on 30th January 2021. The Arc50 Winter endurance run takes participants from The Minack Theatre to Porthtowan. By passing Land’s End it will complete an Arc around the extreme south west tip of Cornwall.

William's Dad Gareth states:

“I have entered an extreme 50-mile Ultra Marathon, described as the hardest footrace in the south west. I am sure it will be brutal and unbelievably hard, but I am choosing to do this because what William faces is harder everyday, and he doesn’t get that choice. He also complains less about it! We are desperate now, we need help and support to make these changes, William desperately needs it.”
