Ben’s new wetroom, being built as part of the project to enable ‘Independent life for Ben’, is getting ever nearer thanks to the recent generous support of The Wetroom Store.

The donation, in the form of a shower tray, drain and tanking kit, will be installed in the new ground floor wet room being created as part of the extension to Ben’s home.

The adaptations project for Ben involves demolishing the garage and extending the house to provide a ground floor wet room with level access shower, toilet, wall hung basin and changing table, together with creation of a combined ground floor bed room / safe space.

These donated items are greatly appreciated and will go a long way towards the shortfall of £35,000 above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded to meet the project costs; and will help Ben gain as much independence as possible while still living at home.
