An ‘Independent life for Ben’ is a closer prospect thanks to funds received from the Retail Trust.
The project for Ben involves extending the family home to build a ground floor wet room with level access shower, toilet, wall hung basin and changing table; together with creation of a combined ground floor bed room / safe space.
Disabled Facilities Grant funding has been awarded through the council, but costs of the works leave a shortfall of £35,000 to meet the project costs.
Retail Trust have generously provided funding towards this shortfall which will be used to purchase tiles for Ben’s new wetroom, being provided through Walls and Floors.
