As building works commence for ‘Rosie's accessible bedroom and bathroom’ we are delighted to receive a generous £1,595 grant from the Florence Nightingale Aid In Sickness Trust towards non-slip flooring to be installed in Rosie’s new bedroom.
The adaptation project will create a downstairs bedroom and accessible bathroom for 10-year-old Rosie in the current family living room – and build a single storey extension at the back of the house as a new living room. This will also create level access for Rosie into the back garden, which she can't currently get out to independently due to split levels and an inaccessible ramp.
Work is now well underway on the project, with the conservatory removed and the foundations for the new living room being laid. Rosie and her family are excited to see the transformation take shape and are looking forward to the life-changing differences the completed adaptations will bring to their home.
