Support from B&Q Foundation

We’re very proud and delighted that B&Q Foundation have awarded a generous grant of £10,000 to Sullivan’s Heroes, towards children’s home adaptation projects being supported by the charity.

This grant will be instrumental in helping the families raising funds through Sullivan’s Heroes to meet the shortfall for the home disability adaptation projects required to be put in place to meet their children’s needs.

These funds enable projects such as house extensions to accommodate accessible bedrooms and wet rooms, including ceiling hoists and wheelchair lifts to aid mobility; creating internal wheelchair accessible living facilities together with internal and external wheelchair ramps and access points, all of which will meet the children’s requirements to live safely and with dignity, improving their quality of life within their home environment.

“At the B&Q Foundation, we believe everyone needs a place to feel at home. So we’re putting our efforts behind local charities who share our vision – helping to create better, safer places for the people in our communities who need them most. Sullivan’s Heroes perfectly embodies these values and it gives us all at the Foundation great pleasure to support them.”
