‘Sophie’s Independence’ receives support from Vodafone Foundation

We were delighted to receive support recently from Vodafone Foundation for ‘Sophie’s Independence’ project – from funds raised through Vodafone’s Employee Matched Giving scheme, in addition to employee fundraising carried out within Vodafone.

A fundraising Football Shirt Raffle generously undertaken by Tom Morgan, who works for Vodafone, raised a fantastic £2,250 – which the Vodafone Foundation have kindly topped up with an additional £350 as part of Vodafone’s Employee Matched Giving programme.

These funds will be used towards meeting the £25,000 shortfall between the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded to Sophie and the overall costs of the project – which will provide the 4-year-old with a new wheelchair accessible bedroom, wet room, through floor-lift together with increased and improved living space to meet her daily medical and care requirements in a safer and more manageable way.

Our thanks to Tom, Vodafone Foundation and everyone involved with this fundraising support which will bring about a number of life-changing benefits for Sophie.
