Vodafone Foundation supports ‘Sophie’s Independence’

We were delighted to receive further support recently from Vodafone Foundation for ‘Sophie’s Independence’ project – from funds generously raised through Vodafone’s Employee Matched Giving scheme, in addition to employee fundraising carried out within Vodafone.

Fundraising kindly undertaken by Tom Morgan, who works for Vodafone, together with Mirrorshine Detail vehicle restorers raised a brilliant £260. The Vodafone Foundation have kindly matched this with an additional £260 as part of Vodafone’s Employee Matched Giving programme – taking the total raised to date from The Vodafone Foundation for Sophie’s project to £610.

These funds will be used towards the £25,000 shortfall above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded to Sophie to meet the overall costs of the project. These vital adaptation works will provide 4-year-old Sophie with a new wheelchair accessible bedroom, wet room, through floor-lift together with improved and increased living space to meet her daily care and medical requirements in a more manageable and safer way.

Our thanks to Tom, Vodafone Foundation and all involved with this fundraising support which will make a positive and lasting difference to Sophie’s life.
