We are working alongside local authority funding to support a wonderful family in West Yorkshire with a mandatory home adaptation for their young son, Mohammed Khan, who has complex physical and sensory needs. The project involves constructing a purpose-built, ground-floor bedroom and a specialised sensory room extension to provide a safe, accessible, and therapeutic environment for his daily care and development.

Bradford Council has fully approved and committed the maximum Disabled Facilities Grant of £30k to cover the core construction works. However, unexpected on-site ground conditions have required a mandatory safety upgrade to a raft foundation. Because the legal council grant is strictly capped, this necessary structural change has created an unavoidable shortfall of approximately £8,000 to complete the build. We are seeking corporate grants and charitable trust support to cover this remaining financial gap so the registered building contractor can complete this vital adaptation safely.
