Natalie has a diagnosis of autism, depression and severe social anxiety. She spends all of her time in her room with the door shut. We worry regarding her mental well-being as she has such negative thoughts of herself.
Her 6 year old brother also has autism and this creates a lot of physical conflict within the home. Both have a great need to control everything around them. This room will allow Natalie to feel safe outside of the confines of her bedroom and allow for her to build relationships with her family in a room she feels safe in.
Natalie is 17 years old and has a diagnosis of autism, depression and severe social anxiety. She places extreme pressure on herself to achieve academically. This results in her working all night till the early hours of the morning, affecting her sleep. She struggles to switch off and know when its time to sleep. Due to her being in her very small bedroom all the time she is very socially isolated.
We are hoping to build her a small room off the back of the house to allow her space to build some social skills. This room will be used by Natalie and her carer to build a relationship and begin to allow Natalie to learn some life independence skills.
