Our thanks go out to Independence at Home, for their recent £600 grant towards ‘Funding Abdul's Bedroom and washroom’.
The project will convert the loft of the family home, to create a bedroom and level access wet room for 7-year-old Abdul.
These funds provided will be used towards the shortfall of £3,500 to meet the cost of the works required, above the council funding awarded.
Works have now got underway on the loft conversion, which will bring about life-changing differences for Adbul, as his father shares with us:
“These improvements will provide Abdul with his own private space, separate from his siblings, and allow us to attend to his needs during the night without causing disruption to the rest of the family. These changes are expected to significantly alleviate stress and improve the well-being of the entire family.”
