Our thanks to Belfast International Airport and staff involved for their recent funding of £250 towards ‘Darcies adaptions’.
The project will extend the family home to provide a bedroom and wetroom with specialist bath and changing stretcher, together with restructuring the house for wheelchair access throughout and into the garden for Darcie.
Friends, family and the local community have been busy raising funds towards the shortfall of £7,000 to meet the cost of the works required; enabling works to now get underway on the extension and restructuring to meet Darcie’s needs.
As Darcie’s parents advise: “The adaptions will be life changing for both Darcie and us and will make Darcie’s quality of life at home safer and easier to manage.”
