We were delighted to see fundraising for ‘Ruby’s Big Build’ being featured on BBC East Midlands recently.

Ruby and her family have been busy raising funds towards the additional £25,000 needed above the Disabled Facilities Grant awarded – to extend the family home to create a downstairs bedroom and wet room for Ruby, plus make the garden accessible to her.
Ruby’s older sister Ava and her best friend Jacob have been boosting the funds raised by cycling an amazing 100 miles throughout April, raising over £850!
Ruby’s parents explain:
“We would love for Ruby to be able to have a home that is not only accessible and safe for her, but a place for her to feel comfortable and relaxed in. We are designing this build with her future in mind, to meet her needs as she grows older. Due to her rare condition, we simply don’t know what the future may hold for Ruby – however as her parents, we hope that others will join us in our bid to help her grow as independent and happy as she can be.”
