A boost for ‘Time for Thomas Wet room and Bedroom’

We were most grateful to see nearly £300 recently added to the funding pot for ‘Time for Thomas Wet room and Bedroom’ by a school fundraiser.

The funds were generously raised by students and staff of St. Michael’s Catholic Academy, part of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust.

As Thomas’ Mum tells us:

“Tom has a progressive, life-limiting, muscle wasting condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, for which there is no cure. Duchenne affects all the muscles in Tom’s body, progressively making them weaker."

"Time is running out for Tom as he’s slowing down, so my goal is to make the necessary adaptations in our home so Tom’s life is as accessible and comfortable as possible; to allow him to be as independent as possible for as long as possible and with the dignity that he deserves. I’m very aware of how time critical this is to raise the rest of the funds needed to complete the works but I absolutely have to have faith that it will all come together for Tom.”

Our thanks to all involved for bringing these life-changing adaptations closer for Thomas.
